You know what, even if we didn’t get our money’s worth I’m still glad I was there so I can tell the story. It was half a Metallica show at their commercial peak, and half a GNR show in their decline. I burned my t-shirt in the fire and lived to tell, so why not relive it right here (registration at DIME required):
Guns N’ Roses
Olympic Stadium / Stade Du Parc Olympique, Montreal, Canada
August 8th 1992
Lineage: uM > uR > ANA(2) > ? > CDR(?) > EAC > WAV > FLAC
Notes: Infamous riot show during the GNR/Metallica stadium tour in the summer of 1992. Metallica’s set had been cut
short following a pyro accident. GNR’s set was curt short as well after only about 45 minutes, after which a
riot ensued. The rest is history. Below average audience recording.
